Nick is entering his final year at St. Cloud State University pursuing a degree in Broadcast Journalism. He has covered the National Hockey League since 2007, making appearances on TSN Radio in Canada along with writing for a variety of different outlets. As an award-winning broadcaster and former player, Nick takes his passion and knowledge of the game and brings the drama, tension and elation of hockey coverage to his viewers.
"I want to create an environment where the fans at home feel like they are sitting at the arena and riding the rollercoaster of emotions that this game presents."
Nick plans to graduate from St. Cloud State University in the Spring of 2022, where he plans to pursue opportunities for play by play talent (hopefully in the game of hockey). He has called St. Cloud State Huskies hockey since 2018, covering all home games and select away contests. Nick had the opportunity call the 2019 Minnesota High School All Star Prospects Game with a professional analyst and took home a third-place award at the Broadcast Education Association Festival of the Arts for best play by play talent.
He can be heard calling hockey games on 88.1 FM KVSC Radio and is seen on St. Cloud State's Husky Productions and Fox Sports as the 2021-22 in-studio host during weekend home games throughout the season.
In the future, Nick hopes to get his foot in the door of the broadcast world and ultimately work in college or professional hockey. To view the Minnesota High School All Star Prospects Game of 2019 visit
